Maureen,
our Community Worker at North St Mary’s Neighbourhood Centre recently made
contact with Mama Lana who is an Organisation that helps to feed the homeless
in Penrith.
Lana and
one of her assistants Kerri came out to meet with our Young Mums Group which
takes place on a Friday morning at our North St Mary’s Centre.
The Mums
introduced themselves to Lana sharing their dreams, hopes and concerns.
Everyone shared a meal with laughs and photos and everyone felt excited
and appreciative of Lana’s kind words and offers of support.. Mission Australia
and Anglicare who facilitate this group were also pleased and excited to
develop this partnership as we are at Community Junction Inc.
Looking
forward to what opportunities lies ahead for these Mums and bubs.
